This is thread is for those little distractions that end up messing up the simplest of plans but end up being more awesome than you could ever imagine. This happens to everyone, don't lie to us. What I want to know is the awesome distractions of your lives.
This occurrences will seem to have an MLIA feel to them, but if you post them here then they're guaranteed to be posted on the internet!!!
For Example, this just happened to me:
I got back to my dorm for a nap and homework. Instead, I made a helmet out of a Mountain Dew box. I'm thinking a complete set of armor will come soon.
Another:
Last night I got into my dorm to watch the Superbowl (for HW) and do the rest of my HW too. My roommate was playing Mass Effect 2, so we then talked about how awesome the game is and our favorite squad combinations.

I just spent about 30 min on an essay. by that I mean, i typed up 2 sentences and started playing Pokemon Red.  |

Last night I started writing an argument essay about violence in video games (yes, because of the ethical issues debate!) I typed the first paragraph then decided to learn about violence in video games first hand.... XD

I have a three page persuasive about why videogames are a good thing, including a whole page of why Jack Thompson is a dick. Last night I talked to went to the gym for a few hours instead of doing calculus, then talked to michlle for a few hours instead of doing calculus. |

Let's see. I have a giant band essay due in two works, with only preliminary research done. I have to read both Catcher and the Rye and JD Salinger's biography (neither of which I have started), write an essay on his life and novels, and even prepare a visual presentation, all by the end of the quarter. And of course, I have to finish The Scarlet Letter for Friday, of which I am approximately two-thirds of the way through.
Instead of starting any of those things, I'm browsing video game theme remixes.
