NEW?! Ok, so heres the newest part that isn't just a revised old part. I hope you enjoy this!!
The blackness shot me out and I did a roll into the past. I’m when I want to be, but I forgot to set the place. Back in the last place I was in this time: Mr. Merrill’s physics class. Everyone looks at me, as I stand on a table in full armor and holding a plasma rifle. Jumping off the table, another black circle opens up. Staring in the center I wait to see who will be coming out. Maybe it will be Joel! But that would just be too impossible. Then again, everyone said time travel to the past was impossible and well, here I am. A human in UPDS armor came out and rolled as space-time got rid of him.
“Ashley!” He exclaimed as he looked at me. “Joel has been captured and I was sent to come look after you.”
I held up my rifle. “Bullshit,” I said to his face.
“No, it’s the truth! He’s been captured!”
“So you weren’t sent to look after me?”
“That’s true too!”
“Stay away from me,” I said as he just looked at me.
“Fine then,” he said.
Everyone in the room had changed their focus to something behind me. Before I can spin around I feel a body run into me full force and grab me. Fuck, they’re smarter than I gave them credit for. They forced my arms behind my back and handcuffed me. I make a quick list of plans in my head; only one seems like an all right idea. Smashing my helmet into the face of the Grantuun holding me, I bolt. Rifle shots sound behind me as I run out the classroom. No bullets spray my way.
“Stop!” A voice yelled and footsteps came closer to me. Shit, they’re faster than I am. A hand grabs my shoulder and spins me around. Another skull bash is on the way, head going back… “Wait! Just look!” I open my eyes.
“Neil?” I said looking into his face as he held a rifle from the future. “What are you doing?”
“Saving you, what do you think?” He pulled out a key and took the handcuffs off me. “What are you doing back here anyway?”
“I was in a tight spot so I figured time travel was the easiest way to get out of it. Now I’m here!” I said as I grabbed the pistol from the holster on my leg and got ready to run.
“Where are we going?” He asked.
“I don’t know, but we aren’t sticking around here.” I close my eyes in disbelief of what I just saw. Opening them for me became painful. “Fuck.”
“Son of a bitch!”
Black circles formed everywhere around the inside of the school. “Run!” I grab his wrist and pull him in the direction I want to go. Soldiers started to pop out of the holes as Neil and I escaped the school. Once outside the school, I look back. There’s no one following us.
“Why did you stop?” Neil asked as he looked back and realized the same thing I did.
“This is all my fault, I lead them right to me!” The wind picked up and I knew exactly what was going to happen. This is when I get abducted. A UPDS ship entered the atmosphere and a cargo beam fell down onto the surface of the planet in front of the school.
“We can still stop them, come on!” Neil said as he ran around the building towards the front doors with the rifle held high. Oh shit, he’s going to get himself killed in that mess.
“Neil, wait!” I cried out for him and started running. After checking my pistol to see if it’s charged, I look up and Neil is in a crouching position shooting at the Grantuun. He doesn’t even know why he’s doing it and he wants to help. I fire some pistol shots into them to aid his effort. Before I could see what happened, Neil was gone. I heard a noise behind then I felt a giant arm wrap around me it was a Wereesh. Colors swirled quickly around me, as I was teleported by him.
When everything stopped and came into view I found myself a UPD ship. When I looked around the room I saw Neil being held by a Wereesh. Next to him I saw myself, my past self, tied up and blindfolded, being held by a human. Even with the blindfold to soak up some of the tears, come could be seen running down her face. My face.
“Ashley Mott,” the human said.
“Yes?” I asked calmly.
“What? What do you want from me?” My past self asked in a panic.
“Not you!” He said as he smacked her, knocking her out. “Oh well.” Letting go, she flopped to the ground. I stared at myself on the ground, passed out.
“Get to the point,” I said as I looked into his eyes.
“Well, I’m supposed to give you a choice right here, not what I want to do, but I have to. You can either save this boy or you can save yourself and you will never be in the future and this will never happen to you. Who do you pick?”
If I never come into the future, then what the cult really believes is true then the universe if fucked over. What about Neil? I don’t know how he’s going to affect the world; he could end up being a dictator or mass murderer or something. Wait, I’m already in the future. This means that I’ve picked myself before and Neil has already left his mark.
“Let the boy go,” I said. “What happens to me?”
“You can go do whatever the fuck you want, we already have you right here,” the human said as the Wereesh teleported Neil out of there. Looking at my past self laying there, he started to grin. “I’m going to have fun with you.” The colors around me swirled again.
I was let out next to Neil and he just looked at me. No words were said as he and I stood there.
“Neil,” I said, thinking about everything he tried to do to help me.
“Yeah?”
“I want you to have this,” I said, picking my pistol off the ground and handing it to him. “Just for those sticky situations.”
“Okay,” he said while studying it. “What about ammo?”
“This is just a standard side arm, nothing powerful or fancy so it just has charge to it. You won’t have to get any ammo for it.”
“Thanks. What are you going to do now?”
“I have stuff to do, friends to help, and a universe to save.”
“Anything I can do to help?”
“You exist in the past, anything you’ve done has already made things the way they are. Goodbye Neil. I have to go back now… Back to the future.” Before he could say anything, I left.
