So I've noticed that suddenly EVERYTHING is in "3D" again. What's the deal with this? I mean, some specific scenes are well done enough to pull it off, but usually the result is this weird image-layering bullcrap that destroys shots that were otherwise really cool in 2D.
I dunno about you guys, but I'm really not impressed with this fad. Most films just don't seem to have the budget or the drive to actually pull it off well, and those that don't mess up aren't some grand masterpiece. Usually the best case scenario is that I can't tell it's supposed to be 3D, and the layering is good enough that I think it's 2D. I just wish it would hurry up and pass like it has in film history a couple decades earlier.

Here's the thing about 3D, most of the time 2D camras are used to do the shoot then they have dudes "pull" the frames apart this is much cheaper then the 3D camras, and sometimes they leave 2D parts in a 3D film because of time/budget.
Bacically it comes down to Time/Money of a movie for it to become a "good" 3D film.

I enjoy a well made 3D film as it can make it feel more real (and also it looks cool) but really, it's not important to me. Sometimes 3D even makes movies look worse-like seeing paper cut outs pop out obnoxiously in front of you. I'd rather pay a better(cheaper) price for a normal 2D movie.
