Stupid pi poem for algebra class! Still gives me giggles =P

3 Pi is a number, but more than a number.
1 It is wondrous thing, even genius.
4 Representing the ratio of a circle's circumference to diameter,
1 And the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius.
5 An irrational number,
9 It never ends or repeats.
2 Such an amazing number,
6 It could make you rise from your seats.
5 It is also a transcendental.
3 No finite sequence of algebraic operations
5 Or integers could ever produce it.
8 No wonder it stands as algebraic foundations.
9 In many formulas Pi is used,
7 From math and engineering to science and everyday use.
9 It has been used to make many things we see,
3 And on this day, it's the artists' muse.
2 And so today's the day to celebrate,
3 The greatness that is Pi.
8 The number without an end, and relation to the circle,
4 It is amazing, that's no lie!
