I saw three movies recently. Last night I watched Jonah Hex, and as I'm a moderate fan of the source material, I liked it. Today I went to see Harry Potter 7, and it was FUCKIN AMAZING! Like, spectacular, I was greatly impressed. Lastly, I just watched Splice. Weirdest. Shit. Ever.

I didn't hear good things about Jonah Hex (the movie).

It wasn't fantastic, but I did like it. Megan fox's accent changed every other scene though, which was really annoying.

The last two movies I watched were Bambi and Bambi II. They made me cry so bad. ='( I'm pleased to say that the midquel didn't completely ruin the original movie, like many Disney sequels do.

Kora Legsexy, I mean, Tron Legacy.
The special effects were beautiful. I'm still in some awe from just the overall atmosphere of the world. Most of the characters were really cool and fun to watch, although I felt like there was a lack of development on the part of Kora, who pretty much held the same role throughout the movie. The antagonist was, unfortunately, a bland character with cliche motives and rather subpar dialogue. The A-Typical evil dictator type.
The story itself started out really fun, but after the first twenty minutes or so I realized that I was predicting EVERYTHING that happened with almost no surprises. I don't think I would have appreciated this film without the three protagonists or the brief moments with Zeus. Though there were some nice subtle touches that added a certain level of depth to the atmosphere that the plot itself lacked. Sam, who is only on the Grid for a few hours, is never entirely comfortable in the world and he's still learning new things about it towards the end of the film, so it really keeps that "Wow, this so new and strange" feeling, unlike most other alternate-world movies like Narnia.
Another nice touch was that Sam doesn't turn out to be some fated and all-powerful combatant. Actually, he's a pretty miserable combatant, and if it weren't for Kora, he'd have been dead a long time ago. He does have his talents, however. If you get him on a motorcycle, he can take out pretty much anything. Which is cool in its own right. It shows that he might not be the best conventional brawler, but he has a niche where he excels. Much like real people.
Overall the effects, sound, music, characters and aesthetic were great, but the plot was a little too devoid of any significant depth for me to truly appreciate. Tron Legacy gets 3 out of 5 datadiscs.

Well, I'm going to agree with pretty much everything Nate said. Only I'm giving it 4/5 because...well...I just am. No fancy review, just another guy telling you to go watch it for shits and gigs.

Finishing Gridiron Gang as we speak, it was very reminiscent of Remember the Titans.

Dorm. It was a Thailand horror movie. It was really good. Not really horror but family drama.
